Wednesday night in Strat ford the Perths waltzed away with an 8-2 victory and on Ilderton arena ice Friday evening triumphed by a score of 5-2. This week the Jets will be in action on three occasions. They were in Chatham last night, Wednesday, they will travel to Woodstock Friday night and will be back home at the Ilderton arena Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m, to take on the same Chatham King Grain Maroons. Daer injured Jets goalie Lome Daer who turned in a couple of ex cellent performances a week ago was injured in the second period against Strat ford. Friday and was replac ed by Murray Jamieson. Goals by Randy Miller and Dave Ferrede in the third period gave Stratford enough to win 5-2. Ferrede’s goal came while the Jets were attempting to score on a power play. The only goal of the first period came from the stick of Stratford’s Jim Betts-. In the second period each team was able to fire two successful shots. Former St. iMarys Lincoln Dan Seguin notched both Stratford markers. Dave Revington held the same honours for the L-I club. Revington registered at 15:59 with assists going to Ed Robb and Scott Graham and he put the puck past Dennis Thorpe in the Strat ford nets less than three minutes later on a play started by Tom Hodgins. Stay even early In Stratford Wednesday night, the Jets were able to keep on even terms with the Perths for most of the first half of the game. Mike Anstett was the only first period marksman ■ to put the Perths ahead 1-0. Lucan rec hockey loop In this week’s Lucan Rec League hockey games yellow and green tied at 3-3 and in a high scoring game. The reds defeated the blues 10-7. With three minutes left to play Jim Hodgins scored for the yellows which set the stage for Tom Hardy’s tying goal with 34 seconds remaining in the game. In the second game the blues came out skating and established an early 5-2 lead over the reds, The quick start seemed to show that the blues were on their way to their first victory but the reds fought back to a 6-6 tie at the end of the second period. In the third period Daryl Wheat, Bev Chapman and Pete Martin scored for the reds before Chris Mouratzen scored a short-handed goal and his fourth of the game for the blues to make the score 9-7.
