The Jets will be a little more active this coming week. They will be at the London Gardens tonight, Thursday to meet the London Kings and Friday night they travel to Wood- stock. Sunday afternoon, the Jets will be at home at the Ilderton arena at 2 p.m. to meet the Preston Jesters. It will be a special, occasion with all fans being admitted free. After the game the fans will have a chance to meet the players. Hot dogs and coffee will be available. In Petrolia, Tuesday, the Squires jumped into a 3-0 first period lead and were never seriously threatened thereafter. The Squires actually upped the lead to 5-0 before the Jets hit the scoreboard. The first two L-I goals came in the last 50 seconds of the middle frame and both were on power plays. Ed Robb registered the first on a three-way effort with Barry Baynham and Randy Kraul and Baynham hit the mark on passes from Randy McIntyre and Dave Revington. • The third period Jets goals came from the sticks of Randy McIntyre and Ed Parkinson. Tuesday, the girls travelled to Woodstock to play Woodstock College Avenue and they came away with a thrilling 42-40 win in overtime. Heather Riddell’ led the scoring with 14 points* and Karen McAllister and Jill Tuckey each had 12 points. Wednesday they travelled to Strathroy and won again quite early by a score of 42- 28. Karen McAllister scored 22 points and Heather Riddell added 15. Saturday morning, the heavy schedule finally caught up to the Panthers as they dropped a 20-10 decision to Belleville C.I. Saturday afternoon the Panthers roared back and in ' a hotly contested game which was not decided until the last minute, they lost a close 28-25 decision to Moira C.I. from Belleville, the number one rated team in the Bay of Quinte region and undefeated this year. Karen McAllister once again led the way with 14 points. Karen Ford scored twice and Sue Chapman once as South Huron blanked St. Marys 3-0. Karen Ford fired the only goal as her team beat Strat­ ford Northwestern 1-0. The scoreless tie was played against Listowel. The South Huron girls will be playing host to Stratford Central this afternoon, Thursday.
