The parade will get under way at 11 a.m. from the Granton cenotaph. Bible School Vacation Bible school was held last week at Granton United Church. Rev. Morden told a Bible story to begin the morning’s activities. There were 60-65 children in at­ tendance. Teachers who helped with Bible classes, sports, crafts and singing were Mrs. April Bryan, Mrs. Nancy Mar­shall, ivfrs. Pat Chovancek, Heather Bilyea, Mrs. Anne Schuller, Mrs. Cheryl Wright, Mrs. Shirley Ban­ nerman, Mrs. Marie Pen­ man, Mrs. Marge McColl, Mrs. Agnes Lansink, Mrs. Judy Sleeper, Mrs. Willa Harding, Mrs. Carol Walden, Mrs. Mavis Knapman, Kim Knapman, Mrs. Maureen Scott and Mrs. Marie Anderson. Mr, & Mrs. Jim Riddell for once again made their pool available to the children for swimming and Mrs. Doreen McRobert and Mrs. April Bryan co-ordinated the week’s activities. Mrs. Kenneth Hodgins attended a retirement party at Simpson’s store London, Friday afternoon in honour of Robert Lusby manager of the housewares department. Mr. & Mrs. John Harlton and family have returned home from a few weeks holidays at Lions Head. Mr. & Mrs. Elmer Harlton, Mr. & Mrs. Don McRobert spent a few days vacationing with them last week and then took the ferry over to Manitoulin Island. Mr. & Mrs. Dan Alee, Michael and Luke holidayed last week at Port Franks. Mr. & Mrs. Gord Marshall and family motored to Collingwood over the weekend and visited with (xord’s sister and family, Mr. & Mrs. Glenn Barr. Mrs. Verna Begg of Cornwall spent last week with her daughter and family, Mr. & Mrs. Ron Mills, vacationing at Turn­ bull’s Grove. Mrs. James Kerr and her granddaughter Katherine Chantier of Hillsboro returned this past week from England. They were on a 13- day tour/through England, Ireland and Scotland. Mr. & Mrs. Harold Mills, Mr. & Mrs. Eric Chavoncek, Mr. & Mrs. Dennis St. Dennis and families enjoyed holidays at Lurgan Beach on Lake Huron. Mrs. Veda Van Galen of Waterford visited with her parents Mr. & Mrs. Cecil Bowman on Monday. Mr. & Mrs. James Hodgins and Scott enjoyed a varied holiday last week. They visited the African Lion Safara, Rockton; Marineland, Niagara Falls; visited with John and Pat Harlton while touring the Bruce Penninsula and other points of interest while touring the Guelph and Toronto area. Mr. & Mrs. Mike Simms and family vacationed this past week in the Kingston area and visited relatives. Mr. & Mrs, Joe Kelly and family enjoyed a 10-day vacation in Vancouver and also the state of Washington. They travelled by air and visited relatives while on their summer holidays.
