These industries are now required to have this done due to regulatory changes from the Ministry of Labour. At present time the Audio Technician is working ten months of the year and is granted a leave of absence for July and August. The proposed Industrial Hearing Testing could be carried out during the summer months if the Audio Technician were retained on an annual basis. A five dollar fee is proposed which would make the program financially self- supporting. County Council accepted the Board of Health’s recommendation that the program be initiated and BEST BUYS AT AL'S Store 262-2017 Bravo, Plain, Mushroom or Meat 14 fl. oz. Huron County warden Gerry Ginn said it was a good chance for the Board of Health to expand its services for working class people. Also in the Board of Health report it was stated that official notification had been received dated June 2 that Dr. Brian J. Lynch has successfully completed the course leading to a Diploma in Public Health and that the Board had appointed Dr. Lynch as Medical Officer of Health for Huron County effective June 2 in ac cordance with the Public Health Act at an annual salary of $36,000 as per agreement dated August 26, 1977. It was further stated in the report that since there is no one from Southwestern Ontario on the Association of Ontario Boards of Health, that should there be a vacancy due to the election this fall, the Executive would be looking for someone to appoint from this area. The Board of Health has recommended that Mrs. Eileen Palmer’s name be submitted to the Association for consideration should a vacancy occur.
