Making this ad employed (tor a period of time) a writer, an art director, an account executive, a media buyer, a media planner, a typesetter, an engraver, a platemaker, a traffic­ operator, several switchboard operators, various mailmen, shippers and secretaries, publication reps, publication make-up people, not to mention all their various suppliers. The treasurer Mrs. Dorothy Corbett gave the financial report and Mrs. Aldeen Volland R.S.V.G. gave visiting report. The float which members entered in Hensall Fair Tuesday evening won first prize. Mrs. Olga Chipchase L.S.V.G. who attended the Rebekah Assembly Sessions in Toronto as scholar gave a report of the sessions. The representatives report by Mrs. Bertha MacGregor D.D.P. was given by Mrs. Ruby Bell. Lodge meetings were closed for the summer months. Progressive euchre was played with the following prize winners; Ladies high: Mrs. Aldeen Volland; Con­ solation: Mrs. Hazel' Cor­ bett; lone hands: Mrs. Olga Chipchase. A delicious lunch was served by the social committee Mrs. Pearl Shaddick, Mrs. Vera Lemmon; Mrs. Irene Black- well, Mrs. Gladys Coleman and Mrs. Dorothy Corbett. MARKS BIRTHDAY The family of Mrs. Earl Campbell surprised her at her home on Saturday on the occasion of her 80th bir­ thday. Over one hundred friends, neighbours, relatives attended and wished Mrs. Campbell continued health and best wishes. The family of seven were present. Three predeceased. Refreshments were served by members of the family and Mrs. Campbell received numerous cards and gifts. She is Noble Grand of Amber Rebekah Lodge, Hensall apd an honored member of the Eastern Star Lodge, Exeter. Mrs. Agnes Williams of Berdino California surprised Mrs. Campbell with a visit.
