Preaching on, “The strong and the resolute” he spoke of the followers of Christ who start off on the Christian life and then let other things take precedence. Adding to the uplift of the service was the beautiful contributions of the Huronia Singers under the direction of Mrs. Marianne McCaf­ frey. Their numbers in­ cluded, “This land is your land,’’ “The impossible dream,” “Climb every mountain” and a lovely choral response sung after the benediction. Pianist for the songs was Mrs. Julie Easterbrook. Dr. Ralph Topp also contributed a prelude to the service, playing “Sonata for piano by Beethoven, opus 14, number one, and was at the organ for the service. Following the service, a social hour was enjoyed by the congregation, giving them a chance to meet Rev. Harbour personally. OnSaturday^nauctionsale will be held at the church to reduce the Manse im- | provement loan. On Sunday, Confirmation and Holy Communion will be observed , and the spring bale will be 1 packed on June 6. Mr. Earl Campbell is a patient in South Huron Hospital, Exeter. •••••••• The song service at Huronview sponsored by the Clinton Christian Reformed Church was held Sunday evening led by Dick Roorda and accompanied by Mrs. Elsie Henderson. A group of entertainers from the Atwood area presented a program on Family Night arranged by Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Edgar. Mr. Lister McCreight was Emcee for the evening. Violin selec­ tions were played by Irene McCreight, Lawrence Edgar, John Irwin and Rob­ bie Edgar; accordion solos by Mrs. Eleanor Inglis; vocal solos Mrs. Ann Irwin and Larry Smith. Mrs. Anne Edgar provided the piano accompaniment; Colleen Edgar and Kim Craig entertained with duet and solo step dancing. Ben Sowerby thanked the group on behalf of the residents and extended an invitation for them to plan a return visit whenever possi­ ble. T-A photo Kinette sale raises over $350 Beautiful weather, curiosity and many con­ tributions combined to make the bi-annual Kinette’s rummage sale last Thursday a sound success. In excess of $350 was realized and the Kinettes would like to thank everybody who contributed to this effort. The next rummage sale will be in the fall. Personal Mock underwent in Toronto General Julie surgery Hospital last Friday. Mrs. E. Ellis returned to her home in Clinton after spending a week with her daughter Mrs. Lome Chap­ man. Mrs. Fanny Clarke is a patient in University Hospital, Gondon. The Hensail “Three Links” senior citizens will hold their next meeting on June 6th at 8 p.m. Note the change in .date as the presi­ dent is away and the vice- ' president will be away on the regular date. Mrs. Herb Hedden is a patient in University Hospital, London where she underwent surgery last week. Rev. Fox, Huron College, London conducted Anniver­ sary services in Carmel Presbyterian Church on Sun­ day. The choir sang two anthems “Trust and Obey” and “He Leadeth Me” with Miss Brenda Pepper at the organ. The Sacrament of Holy Communion will be dis­ pensed next Sunday at 10:30 a.m. with Dr. Fox in charge. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Mason, Tracey and Cindy, of Bowl­ ing Green, Ohio visited last week with Mrs. Mason’s mother Mrs. Glenn Bell. Miss Dorothy Farquhar, London spent the week-end with her mother Mrs. Emma Farquhar. PRICES STEADY Hensall Sales Barn.
