Ivy Lodge No. 90 and the Emerald Rebekah Lodge No. 290, Parkhill, along with members of the surrounding area Lodges. Mabel Yorke read the O.T. scripture and Garfield Nicholson, 4he N.T. scrip­ ture. Lunch was served to the guests following the service by a committee of the U.C.W. headed by Mrs. Wm. W. Woodburn. NOTICE To All Residents Connecting To Sanitary Sewer TAKE NOTICE that effective immediately, Sewer Connection Per­ mits must be obtained through the Municipal Office, 406 Main Street. A fee of $23.00 will be collected, made up as follows: 1. $5.00 Sewer Connection Fee - Town of Exeter By-law No. 23, 1975 as amended. 2. $18.00 Sewer Inspection Fee - Huron County By-law No. 58, 1961 as amended.'This fee will be turned over to the County and hopefully save owners and plumbers unnecessary delays and expense of travelling to Goderich. Additional charges for interior plumbing will be levied at time of inspections. Sewer locates and depths will be furnished by the Town of Exeter on request and connections at the lot line inspected by Works Superintendent Glenn Kells. From the lot line to the house, as well as any interior plumbing will be inspected by the Huron County Plumbing Department. Both the Town of Exeter and the Huron County By-laws have penalty clauses for infractions, including connecting without a permit. The Town of Exeter and the County of Huron request your obser­ vance of these laws so that the owner or community is not burdened in the future with unnecessary expense resulting from faulty connections. Personals Activity was booming in the area during the holiday weekend. Evidently not many motorists consider gasoline expensive. However, one of our residents stayed home, and as a result, a brand new garage is in view a result of his efforts. Another resident shattered the atmosphere with a few fire-crackers Sunday evening. And in the northern sky four parachute jumpers were seen gliding silently to the earth below. Dawson Woodburn at­ tended the sessions of the United Church London Conference held in Windsor University last week. Mr. & Mrs. Ted McPherson, Toronto, and Ruby Pollock, Hamilton were visitors with relatives here, one day last week. Mr. & Mrs. Jim Eagleson were Victoria Day dinner guests with Mr. & Mrs. Ken Eagleson, Jamie and Andrew. Weekend visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Clare Reid'were their daughters and families, Mr. & Mrs. Cliff Nowitshi, Mississauga and Mr. & Mrs. Risdan Atkinson, Nobleton. Mrs. Vic Lee, Strathroy visited with her friend, Evelyn Curts last Thursday. Mr. & Mrs. Graham Eagleson and family and Mr. & Mrs. Jacob Lagerwerf and family were Sunday evening visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Duncan McLachlan. Registration will com­ mence at 8:00 a.m. and judg­ ing will follow. Contestants are divided into five categories for the competition. These include pre-4-H, novice, junior, in­ termediate and senior. At a recent meeting of the 4-H club executives from Huron, a competition was held for tile best press report of the workshop.
