As “Mothers’ Day” is now known as “Christian Family Sunday” on the Church calendar, Rev. Keith Brown chose a very timely topic in the question “How Christian Is Your Home?” Mr. Brown said that high moral standards and believing in a supreme being, alone, do not make a Christian Home, as that home might be Jewish, Muslim or Hindu. Going to Church, each Sunday or being confirmed, does not make a Christian home, although it helps. A Christian home is when all members have been converted, have received new life in Christ and practise this new life every day. Where Christ is loved, trusted and obeyed, where He lives as Saviour, Lord and Teacher, here you will find a Christian home. Does He live in your home all the time? Invite Him in and you will find a change gradually taking place in the relationship between husband and wife and bet ween parents and children. The potted mums in the Sanctuary were placed in loving memory of Isobel Young by her husband and the members of her family.
