Bus tour on agenda
Kippen East Wl plans program

The executive of Kippen
East W.I. held their meeting
to make programs for the
coming year at the home of
Mrs. Dave Triebner, the new
president.
A bus tour will be taken to
Oshawa to visit Parkwood,
the McLaughlin Estate
the Sara Lee Bakery on June
29. Anyone wishing to go
should contact Mrs. Robert
Kinsman or Mrs. James
Drummond.
Garden Club
The first meeting of the 4-
H Garden Club was held at
the home of the leader Mrs.
E. Roberts, April 19. Mrs.
Roberts welcomed everyone
and outlined the course of
study for the Garden Club.
The election of officers was
held: President - Jean Allan,
Vice President - Linda
Roberts, Press Reporter -
Karen Finlayson, a floating
secretary, thg first one to be
Linda Vanneste.
Mrs. Roberts divided the
members into groups and a
short game was played.
After adjournment
Roberts served lunch.

together, but if Quebec votes
to separate I’ll be proud to

Craft event at Bly th
An ambitious venture into
the vast Ontario antique and
crafts market is planned by
a Blyth, Ontario community
organization. The Blyth
Centre for the Arts, which
sponsors a professional
theatre festival during the
summer months, has
mounted a promising fund-
raising event.
On Saturday, May 20, the
Blyth Community Centre
will host more than 40
specially screened crafts
artisans and antique dealers
from all over Ontario.

many craft shows are losing
public appeal because of a
general deterioration in
professionalism, both at the ’
