Learn about Bible study “How to Study the Bible” was the topic of the second in the series, chosen by Reverend Keith Brown for his sermon Sunday morning at the Lucan United Church. How do we treat the Word of God? Where is the Bible in your home? Do you use the Bible during your voyage through life? These were among the questions discussed. As we need food for our bodies each day/so do we need spiritual food, once a week at Church and or Sunday School is not enough and we must learn how to feed ourselves by Bible Study. Mr. Brown gave three points to help us in Bible Study: Choose a good* clear printed Bible, preferably one with modern English. Make up our minds to read our Bibles regularly, asking God to speak to us from His word, then put into action what God reveals. John, said Mr. Brown, is the best book with which to start Bible Study then follow up with the other Gospels. As we study, we become clean channels through which the word of God may go and God uses us as a means of bringing blessing to others.
