IRVIN RADER The annual meeting of the Dash w o o d W o in e n ’ s Institute was held Tuesday with the directors and nominating committee Mrs. Ralph Weber. Mrs. Harold Kellerman and Mrs Valen­ tine Becker in charge. Roll cal) was the payment of dues and Mrs Rav Rader, president, conducted the business. A letter was read from the Blue Water Rest Home inviting the Institute to entertain the residents to a birthday party in May. A donation was made to' the Erland Lee Home fund. Secret pals were chosen for the coming year and mileage payment for delegates was raised to combat inflation. Two new members were added to the roll. A report of the Huron South District W.I. ex­ ecutive meeting was given by Mrs. Gordon Bender. Mrs. Earl Keller, convener of Agriculture and Canadian Industries for the district gave a brief report of this committee’s plans for the International Plowing Match to be held in Huron in September. Reports of the standing committees were presented, followed by the minutes of the last annual meeting read by Mrs Howard Datars The report of the nominating committee was read and accepted Mrs. Syd Baker was in charge of the* (‘lection of officers. New officers are: past president. Mrs Ray Rader: president. Mrs Eben Weigand, first vice president. Mrs Svd Baker; secretary-treasurer. Mrs Howard Datars: assistant secretary. Mrs. Earl Keller, district director. Mrs Ray Rader; alternate director. Mrs. Gordon Bender, nominating committee, Mrs Ralph Weber. Mrs Harold Kellerman and Mrs V.L. Becker; Tweedsmuir curator. Peter­ borough. were visitors with Mr and Mrs. Valentine Becker last week. Aaron Restemaver has returned home from Fniver- sity hospital following hip surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Love spent some time at Clinton with their grandchildren. Randy. Rhonda and Ricky Lobb while their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lobb vacationed in Costa Rica. Central America. Mrs. Gordon Bender and Pat visited at Markdale last week with Mr. and Mrs. Ken Richardson and family. PLENTY OF VARIETY — The ladies of the Christian Reformed Church were the first to use the recently renovated upstairs at the Exeter town hall for a bazaar. Their Friday event featured pckrng, flowers, crafts and this long stuffed toy made by committee chairman Ann Klungel, let?. Other ladies on hand to assist at the event are Jane VanWieren, Audrey Boersma and DeHaan.
