Everyone enjoyed a game of euchre folowing this. The prizes were awarded backwards;meaning the low score won the high score and so on. The winers were: high, Earl Stephens and Mrs. Hazel Coward; low, Mrs. Myrtle Doupe and Lawrence Beckett; lone hands, Mrs. Carl Gower; travelling lone hands, Mrs. Pearl Stephens. Mrs. Floyd Stewart read the Scripture and Mrs. Ross Hargreaves led in prayer. Mrs. John Pym showed the Film “He Leadeth Me” and Mrs. Glenn Jeffery gave a reading. Mrs. Murray Dawson and Mrs. Ken Duncan received the offering. Mr. and Mrs. Murray Dawson returned home recently after holidaying for a week at Puerto Vallarta. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hargreaves were guests with Mr. and Mrs. Lome Hansford of London. Several from this com­ munity attended the concert “A Touch of Spring” by the Huronia Singers at Exeter’s Restored Town Hall on Saturday night and Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Rohde of Mitchell Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Thomson of Woodham visited on Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. William Rohde. Mr. & Mrs. Lee Webber were guests at the Webber- Fischer wedding at the Victorian Inn, Stratford, recently. Twenty-one members from Elimville Women’s Institute attended the 75th anniversary of the Women’s Institute at the Pineridge Chalet, Hensall, Thursday evening. The past president Mrs. Herbert Maluske was the guest speaker. She spoke on her trip to South Africa showed slides and many articles on display. The family of Mr. & Mrs. Norman Jaques entertained their parents and relatives to a supper at Elimville Hall Saturday evening. Open house followed. FRED BOWDEN Terry Somerville con­ ducted the service in the United Church on Sunday morning. The choir sang an anthem and singing in the men’s quartet were Messrs. Doug. Gill, Robert Blair, Bob Heywood and Sam Skinner with Mrs. Gill playing the piano. The offertory music was a piano and guitar duet by Ruth Ann and Rob Essery. Everyone was pleased to see Cecil Skinner in attendance This coming Sunday (April 16) the Sunday School and church services in Centralia United Church will be cancelled on account of the special services in Zion West Taiwan will be centre focus as Mrs. Verna Austin will be guest speaker at the U.C.W. meeting to-night. Grand Bend and Crediton ladies are invited and any other ladies are welcome to come and join in the fellowship. Mr. & Mrs. Ken Greb visited with Mrs. Amos Smith, Mt. Albert on the weekend. Sunday morning they attended one of Mount Albert United Church’s 100th anniversary services, at which Rev. Gordon Weir and Rev. Robert Wilson former ministers took part. Rev. Wilson had preached there from 1937-42 and Rev. Weir from 1962-66. They also were former ministers of Cen­ tralia.
