Dashwood senior citizens host area groups, enjoy music, games and contests

March meeting with ap
proximately 90 in at
tendance. The president,
Mervyn Tieman welcomed
everyone and Ross Love’s
group had the program.
Several Don Messer films
were shown with sing song
during intermission. Euchre
and crokinole were played.
Although there were no
prizes for these there was
much hilarity as special
prizes were given for the
following: Door prize,
Connie Lewis, Grand Bend;
largest number of letters in
your name, Emma Louisa
Florentine Boogeman, Dash
wood; man with longest arm
stretch, Jim Prance, Grand
Bend; lady with lowest neck

Three busloads of Grand
Ole Oprey lovers attended
the afternoon concert at the
London Gardens Friday. The
trip was sponsored by the
Crediton and District Men’s
Social Club. After the con
cert the people returned to
the Community Hall for a
smorgasbord lunch and an
evening of fun.
Bunny bundle
Jeff and Joanne Slaght,
Ruth and Lisa Martin wish to
thank those who contributed
to their Bunny Bundle
project. They collected $31.
Mrs. Lloyd Roeszler won the
bunny cake. The children
were interviewed on CFPL
radio Saturday morning.

A service of worship was
conducted Good Friday
morning in Zion United
Church. Reverend Bruce
Pierce was assisted by Mary
Ellen Schlenker and Reg
Finkbeiner in meditations
and the dispensing of

singing.
Sunday morning the choir,
under the direction of Doug
