RENA CALDWELL KIPPEN After a demonstration of ceramics at Mrs. Hyde’s studio, the Busy Buddies of Kippen II club resumed meeting three at the home of Mrs. E.J. Roberts. The club opened with the 4- H pledge followed by the roll call, “A leisure time activity for an interest, I would like to develop” was answered by 16 members. Joanne Dayman read the minutes of the last meeting. Beth Consitt was nominated the next secretary. Program plans for en­ tertaining at the Queensway Nursing Home were finalized. Mrs. Roberts explained how to introduce a speaker, the ten com­ mandments of 4-H, pointers on photography, music, art and historical places. She aroused interest by asking questions on each of the topics and recommended that each club girl should read at least 15 minutes a day. Indoor gardening was discussed with a sample of a plant being given to each member to take home to start as a hobby. 4-H club meets Kippen one decided to call their 4-H club “The Busy Bees.” A quilt sample was started during meeting two. 4-H girls discuss health topic The sixth meeting of the Elimville Busy Buddies was held March 8 at the home of Mrs. Howard Pym. The roll call was answered with “How I try to keep physically fit.” The leaders discussed keeping fit and about snack foods and if they are healthy. At the end of the meeting the girls played a game, called ' “The key to good health.” At meeting three the Busy Bees went to the Bluewater Resthome which was a wonderful experience. Janet Shanks was elected secretary. Mrs. Ruby Hoggarth of the Bluewater Resthome presented each of the Busy Bees with an en­ velope containing seeds which was much appreciated by the girls. Personals Mrs. Sadie Wren has sold her property to Stewart Taylor, Exeter. Rochus Faber is holidaying in Florida. Elzar Mousseau who has been in Seaforth Community Hospital for three weeks has returned home. Mr. & Mrs. Eli Denys have returned from a three week holiday in Florida. Mr. & Mrs. Ken Jones and family Hillier, Ontario spent the weekend with Mr. & Mrs. Harold Jones. Mr. & Mrs. Wayne McBride have returned from a holiday in the south. IRVIN RADER DASHWOOD The Agriculture and Canadian Industries group with Mrs. Stuart Wolfe convener was in charge of the March meeting of Dash­ wood W.I. Crafts were on display and the roll call, “Name a craft you enjoy doing,” was answered by 18 members. There were also seven visitors. President. Mrs. Ray Rader dealt with the business. Members were reminded about reports for the April annual meeting and gifts for secret pals. Short courses were discussed. Mrs. Gorden Bender had tickets for the 75 th an­ niversary at Pineridge Chalet. Mrs. Wolfe presided for the program. Mrs. Mervyn Tieman and Mrs. Ross Love sang appropriate duets with Mrs. Ken McCrae at the piano. Euchre was enjoyed with winners Nola Love and Earl Keller; low, Jean Schroeder and Gloria Beierling. Stoles for pastor The business meeting of Zion Lutheran Ladies’ Aid was held in the basement following the mid-week lenten service with the president, Mrs. Lome Genttner presiding. The Altar Guild reported seven calls. The new Guild is Mrs. Oscar Miller and Mrs. Harry Hay ter. Easter lilies will be purchased for Easter. New stoles are to be provided for the pastor. Happy Birthday was sung to Mrs. Freida Keller. A card of thanks and a donation was received. The meeting closed with the Lord’s Prayer. Personals Congratulations to Mrs. Adella (Bammie) Fisher of Dashwood now living at the Seaforth Manor, Seaforth, who will be 105 tomorrow. Aaron Restemayer is a patient in University hospital, London, where he underwent surgery. Dashwood Senior Citizens will meet this coming Monday, at 7:30 p.m. with Bayfield and Grand Bend seniors guests. Brenda Glanville, Crediton spent the weekend with Elise Vandeworp. Whalen folk enjoy trips By MRS. HAMILTON HODGINS WHALEN Margery Morley returned home Saturday from a holiday in Florida. She reports a nice trip. They visited Disney World and the Water Show at Cypress Gardens then on to St. Petersburg and many other interesting places. Mr. & Mrs. Gordon Hern returned home Saturday from a holiday in Florida.
