dance after school. The

pop and chips. The com

Square dancing is being
held at school as one of our
electives. Mrs. Hodgins is
teaching us and Mrs. Talbot
is assisting her. We know
about six dances. It is really
fun.
Mr. Lawrence’s elective is
building models. Some of the
articles we have built are
boats, cabins and forts.
• The ‘Aspects of Pioneer
Life’ elective have made
soap this week. We have
learned lots of things we did
not know before.
The quilting elective
members are each making
our own small article. Some
are making pincushions or
pillows. Mrs. Finkbeiner is
the teacher and has helped
us to achieve one of our
country’s oldest crafts.
Why do I like Stephen
Central School — by Doug
Schade.
There are many reasons
why I like our School, I like
the idea of Starting Points
because sometimes plain old
reading gets boring but
Starting Points let you do fun
1
and interesting things
sometimes.
We have taken a survey.
Each week we’ll put in- a
paragraph that students
from grades 4-6 have writ
ten. “Why I like Stephen
Central School.”
The rotary classes are a
good idea because they help
you get ready for high
school. Houseleague helps
with the school becoming
closer to more physical
activities. Everybody needs
a breather from the work for
a little while so electives are
a good idea. I believe that
this year we have a great
selection. I don’t think there
is any other school I’d rather
attend.
