Times-Advocate, 1978-02-23, Page 10Page 10 Times-Advocate, February 23, 1978 What went wrong ? is UC sermon topic The re-organized junior choir under the direction of Mrs. Dale Froats and organist Miss Helen Brown, presented two choruses at the Sunday morning service “I Hear About—” and “Lord Jesus Teach Me”. Their youthful voices and happy smiles added much to the service of worship. Rev. Keith Brown con tinued his Lenten series, speaking from Genesis 3, on the sermon topic “What Went Wrong”? He said “all problems in the world are caused by man’s inhumanity to man.”. “In the beginning . .. everything was good” and man was one of the things. However, we have rebelled against God, starting with our first parents, and this is why the world is in such a state, because sin is so prevalent. Mr. Brown asked the question “If you were God what would you do about it? Blow it up?” Next week’s sermon will deal with what God has done and will do. Members are reminded of the “World Day of Prayer” Friday, March *3 at 2 p.m. in this Church with guest speaker Miss Jana-Lyn Stewart of Ailsa Craig.
