Mr. & Mrs. Ray Kadirka, London and Miss Louise Otter, St. Mary’s were Sunday evening supper guests with Mr. & Mrs. Grafton Squire. Mr. & Mrs. Gordon Johnson spent three days last week at the R.O.M.A. Convention in Toronto. Mr. & Mrs. John Scott and boys were Friday evening supper guests with Mr. & Mrs. Doug Dunnelle, Kirkton. Mr. & Mrs. Ernest Ferguson were dinner guests with Margery Morley Thursday. , Saturday evening Mrs. Howard Currie Lucan visited with Mr. & Mrs. Ernest Ferguson. Mr. & Mrs. Larry Hern and boys were guests at a birthday party for Mrs. Muriel McLellan, Ilderton at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Stuart McLellan, London _ 6 • Township Sunday. Mr. & Mrs. MacLeod Mills spent the weekend with Mr. . & Mrs. Orville Davies, Guelph. Saturday they saw their mother Mrs. Lillian Davies on the plane at Toronto airport to fly home to Spalding, Saskatoon, Mrs. Davies spent the last six weeks visiting her family in Ontario. Mr. & Mrs. Hamilton Hodgins were Saturday evening supper guests with - Mr. & Mrs. Lyle Warrail, Denfield. Tuesday evening mesdames Dorothy Hern, Sandra Hern, Melba St. Dennis, Margery Morley, Marjorie Mills and Audrey Hodgins attended the 25th anniversary of Court Amethyst Canadian Foresters London. Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Tony Da men on the birth of a daughter Saturday in St. Joseph’s Hospital London. IRVIN RADER DASHWOOD The February meeting of Dashwood W.L was held with the Citizenship and World Affairs group in charge and Mrs. Earl Keller, convener. The roll call was answered by naming a province of Canada and its capital. Guests were the 4-H girls and mothers. Mrs. Keller gave a reading, “Thank you Canada”. Speakers, Sandra Schroeder and Carol Rader, who had been on a school Quebec trip introduced themselves in French and called upon their French high school teacher, Miss Rae Wild, who spoke on her experiences as an exchange teacher in a non English school in Northern Quebec. Mrs. Howard Datars read the experiences her daughter, Elizabeth had on her trip to Ottawa. The president, Mrs. Ray Rader, presided for the business. Carol Rader, Cynthia Willert and Sherrie Stade were presented gifts for receiving Provincial honors in 4-H work. The leaders were also given token gifts. Mrs. Gordon Bender reported on a planning meeting she had attended for the 75th an­ niversary of the district. Canvass for the Red Cross will take place in March. A Donation will be made to the benefit fund for the Rumball family. There will be no more euchres this year. Vi sitors from Alberta Zion Lutheran Ladies’ Aid met following the mid-week service of songs, witnessing and a skit presented by six young people, Lucille Bech- man, Debbie Ivey, Gloria Peterson, Marg Palmer, Dave Quist and Vic Pedersen from the Camrose Lutheran College, Camrose, Alberta. Mrs. Lome Genttner, president, dealt with the business. There were 21 present. The Altar Guild reported 24 visits, 5 treats and one phone call. The new Guild is Mrs. Esther Salmon and Mrs. Erna Schroeder. The Aid will cater to two weddings, one in March and one in April. A donation will be made to the benefit fund for the Rumball family. The meeting was closed with “The Lord’s Prayer”. Group One served lunch. Retreat at Holy Cross Lutheran church, Kitchener, on the week end.
