On Sunday, the locals upped Ilderton by a con- \ncing 6-2 count at the rec cntre and on Tuesday night tey nipped the same squad by a 2-1 margin in Ilderton. In Sunday’s game at the rec centre, Brett Batten registered a hat trick per­ formance to lead the locals to their 6-2 win. Scott Lovie chipped in with a pair of tallies and Bill Fisher added the other one. Scott Pincombe paced the Exeter attack with a hat trick performance, while Jim Siddall fired the other. Picking up assists were Mike Murray, Scott Batten, Mark Vandergunst, Siddall and Steve Prout. Only one game was played involving area clubs. Wednesday night in Lucan, the Mitchell Hawks scored two goals in the last minute and 35 seconds to edge the Lucan Irish 6-4. The only Exeter Hawks scheduled game in Tavistock Friday nigit was cancelled. Lucan fames Saturday against Tanstock and Sunday with Mitchell were also postponed. This week the Ha^ks will be at home Friday/night at the South Huron Rd? Centre to meet the Mitchel Hawks. The Lucan Iris* were at home last night, Wednesday to the Thamesf/rd Trojans and Saturday ni£ht they pay a visit‘to Belmont. Ken Murray scored his third goal cf the night at 18:25 of the third period to put the Iris! on even terms with Mitchfll at 4-4 but the Hawks sored the winner with the Iish playing a man short andless than a minute to go. Tby were also able to score the sixth goal into an empty net. Jim Maguire was the marksman on the other Lucan goal.
