Orlando Fisk, father of Mrs. Gordon Slaght, died in Norwich, Friday. Steve Fletcher, stepfather of Rev. Pierce, was buried at Woodstock. Sympathy is ex­ tended to the bereaved families. Music was supplied by “The Serenades.” After the midnight celebrations a hot roast beef dinner was served buffet style. A good time was had by all. The January meeting of the Clandeboye Womens Institute will be held at the home of Mrs. Arnold Lewis Wednesday, January 11. Following supper euchre was played. The winners were: ladies high, Mrs. Art Abbott; men’s high, Larry Hern; lone hands, Earl French; low score, Mrs. Ron Pullman. Mr. & Mrs. Doug Squire and family, London were supper guests Tuesday evening with Mr. & Mrs. Cecil Squire. Mrs. Rhoda Knight, Kitchener visited with Mr. & Mrs. Gerald Hern this week.
