IRVIN RADER DASHWOOD The Youth of Zion Lutheran Church held a special meeting for the new­ ly confirmed members June 18. Elizabeth Datars opened the meeting with prayer. They all journeyed to Grand Bend to play mini golf. David Hayter was the winner with the lowest score. They returned to Dashwood and while waiting for supper a sing song was held Elizabeth led in a short Bible study. Following supper, “initiation was held and everyone enjoyed it. The meeting closed with prayer. Attend Outreach meeting W.O.W. Weekend Witness Outreach Week-end was attended by Daniel and Judith Mellecke Doris Stephen and Elise Vandeworp of the Youth group of Zion Lutheran church at Stratford. Carpet bowling demonstrated Sixty Seniors attended a picnic at the Community Centre, Monday, June 18, with Lloyd Rader’s group in charge. Following supper, a demonstration of carpet bowling was held. Will work at Tower Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hayter attended the graduation of their son Jeff from George Brown College, Toronto, with a diploma in Hotel Management. He has accepted a position at the C.N. Tower in Toronto. Fanshawe graduate Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Rader attended the graduation of their son-in-law Bill Bennett, in Civil Engineer­ ing Technology (Structural) from Fanshawe College, London. Thursday June 21. They later attended a recep­ tion for him at the home of his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bennett. Architecture grads Mrs. Brad Oke attended the graduation of her hus­ band Brad from Fanshawe College London, June 21 in Architectural Technology and his brother Wayne in Civil Engineering Technology (Structural). Farewell Sermon Pastor Bruce Guy preached his farewell ser­ mon at Calvary United Church Sunday, June 24. Following the service, he was presented a gift of money and Mrs. Guy a cor­ sage. They leave Thursday to take up residence in Merlin. Personals Mrs. Irvin Rader, Sharon Bennett, June Miller Bren­ da, Charlotte and Karen attended a shower for Donna Patterson bride-elect of July at the home of Mrs.Jim Patterson, Grand Bend Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. John de Niet, Tina and Amanda Willowdale were week-end guests with Mr. and Mrs. Ir­ vin Rader. Mrs. Greta Schade is a patient in University hospital having suffered a heart attack. Mrs. Earl R. Guenther attended the Stickney 50th Reunion at Riverside Park, Guelph recently. Over 200 relatives were in attendance from British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, United States and many places in Ontario. Mrs. E.J. McLelland, St. Catharines was a guest at the Earl Guenther house during the weekend. Mrs. Sharon Bennett spent a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Rader. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Martene attended the Bond- Frankford wedding in Chatham, Saturday. The groom is their nephew and grandson of Mrs. Grace Bond with whom they spent the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Rader and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Rader, Heather and Allan were Sunday guests with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Lynn and Chris Centralia on the occa­ sion of Chris’ first birthday.
