A graduate of Seaforth District High School and the University of Western Ontaiio he has accepted an articling posi­ tion with Stapill's* and Sewell, Barristers arid Solicitors in Toronto. Times-Advocate, June 13, 1979 Strawberry supper set for Brinsley By GORDON MORLEY The Ladies Guild of St, Mary’s Church met in the church basement Tuesday evening with Mrs. Wilfred Dixon and Mrs, Bill Dixon as hostesses. Plans were finalized for the strawberry and ham supper on June 20. The quilt on which tickets are being sold was displayed and admired by all. The draw for this quilt will be made at the strawberry supper. The Brinsley United Church Women were invited to Mrs, Earl Dixon’s home in Centralia for their June meeting which was held Wednesday evening. Mrs. Marjorie Steeper had the worship and prayer. Opening hymn "The church is one foundation" was sung. Miss Viola Lewis read the scripture reading and Mrs. Steeper a reading "Goodness of God". Mrs. Jack Trevithick gave the two readings on the "History of Ailsa Craig Methodist Church" and "Mar’s Hill" with Mrs. Steeper giving the "History of Carlisle Chur­ ch". Mrs. Dyck read a poem on "The church of my dreams." Roll call was answered by "The first church I at­ tended" or "something about the first church you attended." Seven members and one visitor were present. The tickets were given out to be sold for the chicken barbecue to be held July 11. Lieury U.C.W. invited our group Thursday night June 14. Ruth Erskine is showing pictures on Australia. Personals Mr. & Mrs. Charles Cor­ bett and David and Mr, Bill Amos attended the opening of the Ontario Agricultural Museum at Milton, Friday. Mr. & Mrs. Jim Morley visited with Mr. & Mrs. Joe Durand and family, Thur­ sday. Recent visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Jack Trevithick were Dr. & Mrs. John Trevithick and family, London, Mrs. Roy Neil, Detroit and her cousin, Jean Ogden, London and Mr. & Mrs. Lawrence Stephens, Meaford. Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Glen Thompson who are the proud parents of a baby boy. Mrs. Ella Tweddle visited Friday evening with Mrs. Violet Allison and Kathleen Morley.
