Nursing Home during the
past week were: visiting
with Mrs. Kendrick were,
Mrs. Boshart, Debbie and
Judy Kendrick and son Jeff,
Mrs. Pete Durand, and Mrs.
Kipfer. Mrs. Purdy and
daughter Mrs. Weiburg
visited with the former’s
husband Len Purdy. Mrs.
Rosa Harris visited with
Morris Beaver.
Visitors with Nelson
Loghrin were Mrs. Klemke,
Leo Boyle, Centralia, Jean
Ogden, London, Dave
Bishop, Stratford, Sim and
Mary Roobol, who also
visited several other
residents.
David Crich visited his
father Wallie Crich. Mr.
Kats of Exeter visited his .
daughter Aleeta Kats.
Rev. Keith Gonyou of
Exeter conducted the
Church service. The Hensall
United church ladies en
tertained the residents with
bingo and music.
The bowling score for the
week was Neil Regan with
126 and Aleeta Kats with 90
score.

Presbyterian Church wor
shipped with Carmel
Church. The Rev. Dr.
Douglas Fox of London was
the guest minister and
delivered an inspiring
message on “The Holy Spirit
in the Church” Rev. Kenneth
Knight assisted Rev. Dr.
Fox. The choir under the
direction of Mrs. Robert
Taylor sang the anthem
“Joy In Our Hearts.” The
guest soloist Miss Sylvia
Bell, accompanied on the
guitar sang “Morning Is
Broken” and “A Little less of
Me.” Flowers were placed in
the church in memory of the
late Mrs. Helen Holland.
Sacrament of the Lord’s
Supper will be dispensed on
June 10th at 11:30 a.m.
W.l.to picnic
The June meeting of the
Hensall Women’s Institute
will be a picnic held at the
home of Mrs. Carl Payne,
weather permitting. Please
bring your food, plates' and
cutlery-beverage will be
provided. If cold or wet, the
meeting will be held at the
United church as usual.

p.m.

United Church. The
message, “Encountering
1 on theJesus” was based
story of Jesus’ encounter
with the first disciples He
called to follow Him. This
call to discipleship was an
offer of friendship, of being
together. God is always
searching out our friendship
and fellowship to counteract
our loneliness.
The twelve voice choir
sang the anthem, “The old
rugged cross” led by choir
director Mrs. Marianne
McCaffrey and with Mrs.
Mary Moffatt at the organ.
Unit four will meet on
Thursday, June 7 at 2:30
p.m.

Mrs. J.C. Goddard was in
Hamilton last week at
tending the 40th class
reunion of Hamilton General
Hospital, of which she was a
graduate.
Diamond in use
The ball diamond in the
park behind the arena is now
ready for use and the first
game was played there on
Thursday, May 31 between
Hensall Bantams and Exeter
Bantams with Hensall
winning 8-7.
