Church has
anniversary
Many former members of
the congregation gathered at
Hensall United Church on
Sunday, when they
celebrated their 131st
Anniversary with their new
minister, Rev. Stan. C.
McDonald as preacher. A
nearly full church heard a
sermon on love as exem
plified by David when the
water of Samaria was
brought to him.
Dr. Ralph Topp was at the
organ and the choir sang the
anthem, “Bless my soul” by
Ippolitoff-Ivanoff; also “God
be in my head” after the
Benediction.
Floral tributes adorned the
sanctuary from the wedding
of Kevin Buchanan and
Heather Dougherty and
other arrangements were in
loving memory of William
Parsons, placed there by his
i family.
: Next Sunday, the
(Sacrament of the Lord’s
I Supper will be celebrated
. and a special Dedication
service will be held on
Sunday, June 24 to dedicate
the new stained-glass win
dows.
