Wayne Riddell, John Smallman and Al Kyle hit 24 targets to top the 16 shooters. "TE House league in motocross The first house league motocross meet at Hully Gully Thursday night at­ tracted a large number of participating riders. Randy Ford of Grand Bend was the winner in the pee wee A division with Roland Lassaline, Goderich finishing second and Danny Watts, Dashwood was third. In the pee wee B division Scott Wilson of London was best with Kevin and Shawn Talbot of Holmesville next on the prize list. Rick Carmon and Rick Muck, both of Goderich were the winners in the novice a classification, B winners were Steve Boyle, Paul Sowerby, Darin Culbert, all of Goderich. The best junior A racer was Chuck Collins of Varna. He was followed by Russ Nigginbottom and Rick Rogers, both of London. Phil Lassaline, Goderich, Pat Beasley, Lucknow, and Don Betting, Sarnia, were the first three finishers in junior B. The endurance winners were Randy Ford, Grand Bend and Danny Lyerson, Clinton. The next meet will be held Thursday night. May 17 at 7 p.m. sharp and is open to any rider who wishes a safe place to ride as well as develop skills, Parents are welcome. The clubs were playing in Ausable district soccer in Huron Park. Centre-forward Martin DeBruyn collected Exeter’s first goal off a through pass onto the Park net at 20 minutes into the match. Five minutes later, winger Brad Clausius knocked down a crossed ball from DeBruyn at the far post and drove it in for Exeter’s se­ cond. Fullback Tony Markus then doubled the score on 1 penalty-kicks awarded at I nine and 30 minutes of the ’ last half. Huron Park, a newcomer in the league for 1979, had trouble containing Exeter attacks in the early going, but managed to close them down fairly well as the game progressed, The Park also had a share of missed chances. Exeter, too, was off the net on a number of scoring opportunities throughout the game, The Centennials next op­ ponent is Lucan, at 4 p.m., Sunday May 20 on home ground at Canner’s field. They play Thursday night with Sylvan supplying op­ position, again at home. The final make-up of the team has been decided. Den­ nis Bierling and Dave Wat­ son are the catchers and pitching duties will be shared by Kim McKinnon, Dan Heywood, Paul McKnight and Brian Hodgins. Doug Johnson and Wayne Clarke will be at first, Doug Pearson and Jerry McCann at second, Ken Bergman is the shortstop and John Gillespie and Dan Heywood , are third base men. Patrolling the outfield will be Bryon Penhale, Paul McKnight, Brian Taylor, Kim McKinnon and Harvey Vincent.
