Mrs. Harold Vincent was among 19 ladies from Grand Bend and area who attended a ladies fellowship meeting sponsored by Women of the Church of God held last Saturday in Kitchener. Mrs. Mil ton Sweitzer has returned home after spen­ ding two weeks in Welland with her mother, Mrs. Elsie Comfort. J Patti Rader, Dashwood, spent the weekend with her friend Karen Guenther. Sandra and Jim Campbell, Kim and Kelly of Exeter were supper guests with the children’s grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Milton Sweitzer, Sunday night. Herbert Harlton, Dorothy Harlton and friend, Mabel and Karen Guenther were dinner guests Saturday with Mr. & Mrs. Ross Brown, Greenway. Lori, Michael and Michelle Vincent spent Saturday with Annie and Hugh Morenz. The Morenz’s were Sunday dinner guests with Mr. & Mrs. Ross Corbett, Steve and Jeff of near Hensail. Also attending were Janine Hackney, Exeter and Mr. & Mrs. John Corbett, Hensall. The occasion was a birthday dinner for Janine. (Ann) Mrs. Merlin MacLean, Clinton. They all attended along with their wives, husbands and children. Personals Messengers will be held at Elimville Church on Wed­ nesday evening, May 9, at 7 p.m. Family Sunday will be held on Sunday, May 13, 11.15 a.m. Sunday School members are asked to meet at 11 a.m. to mark their attendance. Parents who are getting their children bap­ tized are asked to meet at the manse Friday evening at 8.30 p.m. Mr. & Mrs. Alex Rohde, Mitchell visited Sunday evening with Mr. & Mrs. William Rohde. Mrs. David Passmore entertained several mothers and their children Tuesday, in honor of Jon’s 4th birthday which was May 2 and also ’ Mr. & Mrs. John Batten of Elimville and Mrs, Myrtle Metters, Exeter, Wednesday night for supper. Mrs. Murray Dawson, Mrs. Ross Hodgert Mrs. George Kellett and Mrs. William Rohde looked after the mother and daughter banquet of the C.G.I.T. in the church Wednesday evening. Mrs. Ted Kernick, Mrs. Craig Webber and Mrs. Barry Miller are the leaders of the C.G.I.T. Mrs. Lloyd Ballantyne, Miss Doris Elford, Mrs. Ross Hargreaves, Mrs. Ross Hodgert, Mrs. Hazel Jeffery, Mrs. Glen Stewart, Mrs. Jack Stewart and Mrs. William Rohde attended the spring meeting of the Kirkton Horticulture Society at the Kirkton Woodham Community Centre, Tuesday evening. Mrs. Harold Erb of Sebringville showed pictures of her recent trip to Swit­ zerland. They were greatly enjoyed. An exchange of plants took place. Misses Joanne Dortmans, Strathroy, Deb Hopkinson, Hamilton, Susan Spring, Elmvale spent the weekend with Miss Barbara Miller. Mrs. Parker, Mildmay spent the weekend with Mrs. Hazel Jeffery. Mr. & Mrs. Glenn Jeffery, Connie and Alan were Sunday guests with Mr. & Mrs. John McLauchlan and family of London. They also visited with Mr. Victor Jeffery who is a patient in St. Joseph’s Hospital, London. Miss Doris Elford and Mrs. Ross Hodgert were among those who went on the horticulture bus tour to Ottawa. They left Friday morning returning home Sunday. Little Lori returned home Kernick Saturday after having been a patient in Stratford General Hospital for a week. Mr. & Mrs. Bob Stone, Wallaceburg spent the weekend at the home of his mother Mrs. Verna Stone.
