Dora Thompson was at the piano, Clarence Lewis played his violin, Ethel Lewis the washboard, Muriel Cobleigh on the cymbals (2 stainless steel lids) Mildred Hertzel the spoons, Mary Kooy the kazoo and Iva Hodgins the jewsharp. This is an ad vantage over most nursery schools as it gives the parents more opportunity to see the development of their child and assist in the operation of the school. The school is only as good as the input from the parents, As a “C are members of Association for Parent Participating Schools for London and District. The Association consists of 22 London and area schools, representing 950 families in the community. The Association is a member of the committee of councils of Parent Par ticipation Schools of Ontario which in turn has in ternational affiliations. The A.P.P.S.L.D. helps to compile, and dispense ideas from all these people to help the nursery schools in the administration and operation of the co-operative ideals. This year the association has asked us to host a mini workshop at our school, Wednesday May 16, at 8:00 at Lucan United Church. Workshop topics will in clude fundraising, publicity and newsletters, public relations implications of the registrar’s job; and con ducting worthwhile parent meetings and field trips. This is an excellent op portunity for us to show off our Nursery School as we are very proud of our large and well equipped facilities. We would like to extend an invitation to everyone in the community to visit the school and take advantage of this opportunity to see the work and dedication that goes on behind the Co operative schools in Canada.
