Church news
At the United Church Rev.
Elwood Morden was in
charge of the service and
welcomed Dr. Ross Green
from Thorndale who brought
a message on behalf of the
mission and service
department of the United
Church. Dr. Green spoke on
his work as a missionary
doctor in Nigeria.
We should be more in
terested in evangelism than
politics said Dr. Green and
accept the fact that God is
working through all of us.
Each Lay person has a
mission to portray Christ
around the world, have faith
and your prayers will be
answered.
At St. Thomas Anglican
Church, Rev. Mary Mills
conducted the morning
worship and as it was Bible
Sunday, took her sermon
from the book of Jonah. This
parable, is a challenge to the
people in the Church today,
and gives us courage and
strength, said Rev. Mills.
