A delightful evening was spent reminiscing the day of 25 years ago, followed by speeches singing and dan­ cing. Mrs. Lome (Doris) Listoen of Comox, B.C., spent two weeks with her mother Mrs. Irene Haist and other relatives. Mrs. Listoen, Mrs. Haist, Mrs. Myrtle Metters and Mrs. William Rohde spent the weekend with Mr. & Mrs. Oren Grace of Gibraltar. Monday they all were guests for brunch with Mr. & Mrs. Wes Redmond, Trenton, Michigan. Mrs. Redmond was the former Fran Pearce. Personals Mrs. E. A. RENA CALDWELL Mrs. Harold Caldwell and Mrs. Jack Bell honoured Chris McGregor with a miscellaneous shower at the home of Mrs. Caldwell Tuesday. Winner of the contest was Mrs. Robert Bell. “Missy” Caldwell read the address and the gifts were presented by the younger girls in the .area. Chris responded with thanks for the gifts and an invitation to everyone to see her gifts and to come to her wedding reception May 19. Lunch was served by the hostesses and their assistants. This was a free trip they won, sponsored by Imperial Oil. It was in this area of Mexico in 1965, that Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton did a movie. Mr. & Mrs. Gus Van Massenhoven, Anita, Ronnie and Michael, visited an evening recently in Parkhill with Mr. & Mrs. Tony Ansems and family. Mrs. Tom Russell, Jacquie and Jennie spent a few days last week in Belle River, visiting her parents Mr. & Mrs. Michael Schiebel and other relatives. Ella and Willis Desjardine visited last Sunday with Mr. & Mrs. Sonny Weston, Susie, Connie and Cam at Sylvan. Recent visitors with the Desjardine’s were Mr. & Mrs. George Romphf, Sylvan, Mr. & Mrs. Les Desjardine of Thedford. Hugh Morenz visited Thursday in London with his sister, Mrs. Blanche Chapman, Mr. & Mrs. Henry Becker, attended the wedding, Friday, April 27, of their granddaughter, Marilyn Ann-, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Wilmer Pfaff, Crediton, to Allan Donald, son of Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd Riley, Staffa, at United Church week of the death of Fer­ man’s aunt, 94 year old, Mrs, Edwin Martin, Wallenstein, Bill and Michelle Morenz of Goderich visited Sunday and were supper guests with Bill’s parents here. Lancaster, a former minister at St. James Anglican church is con­ ducting the services at St. James while Rev. John Hofland is on holidays. Mrs. Lancaster accompanied her husband Sunday and renewed acquaintances in the community. Anniversary services at Clandeboye United Church will be held at 11 a.m., next Sunday, May 6, with Rev. Carr, London as guest speaker, Lucan congregation are invited to join with Clandeboye for this special service. Saturday evening guests with Mr. & Mrs. Andy Thompson were Mr. & Mrs. Wilfred Dixon, Mr. & Mrs. Tom Gilmour, Mr. & Mrs. Murray Thompson, Stewart Thompson, Mrs. Kay Haggar, Hodgins and Mrs. Watson.
