HAROLD DAVIS The April meeting of the UCW was held April 11 with guests from Elimville and Thamesview UCW mem­ bers. Leader Mrs. Norman Amos was assisted by Mrs. Harry Burgin, Mrs. Robt. Ratcliffe, Mrs. Lome Marshall and Mrs. Peterson. Sing song was led by Mrs. McDougald accompanied by Mrs. Earl Stephen at the piano. Alf Kipp and Jim Rennie, London were guests speakers and showed slides on the story of Signers Hospitals. After the meeting all were invited downstairs for lunch and a social hour. TEMPLEMAN Miss Valeria McPhail was guest of honour at a com­ munity shower held in the Family Life Center Thur­ sday evening with a large crowd in attendance. Mrs. Bruce Ovens read an address of good wishes and Valeria was assisted in opening her gifts by her sister Bonnie and Marilyn Miller. Valeria expressed her appreciation to .everyone. -Court Whisk, visiting and lunch brought the evening to a close. 4-H club meets Mr. & rs. Keith McLagan hosted the April meeting of the Mitchell West Dairy Clyb at their home April 11. There were eight members and the eaders Keith McLagan and Martin Vink present. Larry Bertens presided and opened with the 4-H Pledge. Nancy Pridham gave the secretary’s report and business was discussed. Richard Templeman lead the discussion on the feeding of the dairy heifer. Bill Pridham explained the first H which stands for Head in the 4-H’s. Michael Drost conducted a game which was fun. Mrs. McLagan served lunch and was thanked by Bill Pridham. Monday evening. Clifton Miller is a patient in Stratford General Hospital, having undergone surgery. South Hibbert Athletic Association will be holding a registration day Saturday April 14 in Staff a Hall.
