A new consumer booklet
titled "Propane and Your
Recreational Vehicle” has
just been released by the
ministry of consumer and
commercial relations.
Designed primarily for
trailer, camper and motoriz
ed home owners, the booklet
familiarizes consumers with
the properties of propane
and alerts them to the safety
hazards that can be created
through its misuse. It also
provides safety tips on using
and installing propane
equipment, transporting and
storing cylinders and check
ing the propane system for
leaks.
"Every summer, con
sumers in Ontario are in
jured or lose personal
property through the im
proper handling of propane,
or careless maintenance of
propane equipment,” said
Herb Jones, director of the
ministry’s fuels safety
branch. "Most of these ac
cidents could be prevented if
consumers took a few sim
ple precautions.”
Consumers may obtain
copies of the booklet free of
charge by writing: Con
sumer Information Centre,

Commercial Relations, 555

About 30 persons gathered
under heavily overcast skies
on the lawns of Craigholme
Nursing Home 7 a.m. Easter
Sunday for a community
sunrise service sponsored by
the Ailsa Craig and Area
Ministerial Association.
Early morning chill and
light drizzle threatened to
move the service over into
the nearby Activity Centre,
but the group persevered
cheered on by nearby chir

A large wooden cross es

as focal point of worship.
