Lent Learning ends < . 1 3d i- i ] i ’ i1111 wfi V l 11 gjagR 1 The final session of "Learning for Lent” con cluded Wednesday morning with four interest groups, "Advanced Hairpin Lace” with Rachel Tuke, Beginners with Muriel Cobleigh and Edythe Murdy, "Additives in Your Diet” with Dorothy Anderson of London Cathedral Glass Craft Iva Hodgins. Following "coffee conversation, Ann Elliott concluded her very inspiring series on “Invitation to Live”. "If we have missed Jesus Christ, we have missed the whole plan of God”, said Mrs. Elliott. "But it is not until God begins to deal with us per sonally that we see our need of Him.” By His death on the Cross, and with and Christ took the punishment for the sins of mankind from the beginning of time, and His sacrifice frees us from sins power and from' the sense of guilt, enabling us to live in a way pleasing to God. It brings us the joy of oneness with God and with other people. Our part is to agree with God’s verdict on sin, and to let Him deal with it in our lives. Having once taken this step, we must remain open to God’s voice through Bible reading and prayer, and continue to obey and trust Him day by day. As long as we walk closely with Him, remembering that He is in control, He continues to give us the power to live vic toriously regardless of circumstances.
