Nineteen members an­ swered the roll call with payment of fees. During the business it was decided to attend Huron Country Playhouse in August to see “The Sound of Music,” with Mrs. Rupert Williams and Mrs. Art Hodgins in charge of arrangements. Plans for demonstrating tieing a quilt at the Lucan Craft Show on April 21 were finalized with several of­ fering their help for that day. Members were asked to get their articles ready for the flea market May 6 in Lucan. 4-H Achievement Day for Clandeboye Clubs 2 and 3 will be held at Medway High School April 28. Clandeboye Club 1 will attend Parkhill Achievement Day in May. The W.I. district annual will be held May 15 at Komoka. Good reports were heard from all conveners as well as the auditor’s report. Mrs. Bruce Henry, district director, presided for the election of officers as follows: Past president - Mrs. Art Hodgins; president - Mrs. Harold Hardy; secretary-treasurer - Mrs. R. Mrs. Art Hodgins retiring president, completed the meeting by thanking the .members for their support during her term of office and for the lovely gift of a rose bush, they had presented her with. Gwen Lynn was in charge of a short program. Readings were given by Hazel Williams and Jean Hodgins and contests were conducted by Irene Lynn. Bonnie received many lovely gifts and in her jolly manner thanked everyone. Cake and ice cream was served and a social time enjoyed by all. John Hofland was in charge of the Holy Communion service and chose as the theme for his sermon, "The Resurrection of Jesus”. Easter lilies were placed on the altar in memory of Pearl Cobleigh, given by her daughter Dorothy Demedash, and in.memory of Maurice Simpson, given by his family. Dedications of an Altar Frontal, given by Mrs. Viola Carter and family in memory of Kenneth Carter and Book Marks given by Mrs. Elmer Hackman of Florida, in memory of her sister and brother-in-law Willhelmine and George Hodgins. Hymn books and a prayer book in memory of Mrs. Bertha Henry by Clandeboye neighbours, were also dedicated. 1 United Church Easter service at Clan­ deboye United Church was well attended. Easter lilies decorated the altar and Rev. Keith Brown chose as his sermon “Christ is Risen.” The girls choir sang “Jesus took my Burden.” Next Sunday, Mr. Peter Snell will conduct the service at Clandeboye and Lucan, while Rev. Keith Brown has Communion and Con­ firmation services at the Ailsa Craig charge.
