IRVIN RADER A small group of interested people are trying to form a Cub group in the Grand Bend-Dashwood area. Anyone who is interested in helping out in any way please contact Mrs. George Keller. There will be a survey out shortly to find out how many boys are in­ terested in joining from Dashwood and area. This pre-registration form may be had from Mrs. Keller. Very mysterious Dashwood club 2 held their fourth meeting at the community centre. For the roll call, each member showed three ways to tie scarves. Mrs. Earl Keller showed the members many different kinds of purses. Each member knows all about buying shoes. Mrs. Ray Rader discussed what things to consider when buying shoes and why. Next meeting each member is to bring a piece of jewelry wrapped in a brown paper bag. No other member will know what the other has; very mysterious! Enjoy Greece Mr. & Mrs. Ron Merner and Margaret Merner en­ joyed a wonderful week in Greece. They found the people so warm and friendly and the entertainment ex­ cellent. They visited Corinth and Athens and many places of interest included the old ruins. Prior to leaving they saw the St. Patrick’s Day parade in New York which was fabulous. See trains at mens club Dashwood Men’s Club held their monthly supper Monday, March 26. Itwas Father and Son night with about 60 in attendance. Guest speaker, Justus Kocerim, London, spoke on model trains. He had some models on display and discussed how he had turned his hobby into a learning experience with his family. Minister at Five Oaks By MRS. WILLIAM ROHDE THAMES ROAD Rev. Bert Daynard, Staffa was in charge of the church services and Communion at Elimville and Thames Road Churches Sunday. Mrs. Daynard accompanied her husband. Mr. Ross Hargreaves spent the week end at Five Oaks taking a course “Sharing Your Faith” with Dr. Norman McKenzie. He was a former missionary and also on the Evangelism and Social Service Board. He is now serving on a pastorate in Northern Ontario. Mrs. Hargreaves spent the week end with her sister and brother-in-law. Mr. & Mrs. Jack Griffin at Cathcart. Mr. & Mrs. Hargreaves also visited with the former’s parents Mr. & Mrs. John Hargreaves, Woodstock. Mr. & Mrs. Barry Jeffrey, Michael and Patrick were guests Sunday with Mr. & Mrs. Brian Higgs, Elmira. Quite a number of ladies attended a Tupperware party at the home of Mrs. Barry E. Miller, Wednesday evening. Fred Johns returned home recently from Seaforth Community Hospital. Get well wishes are extended. Wednesday evening Explorers will be held. The Tyros will also meet Wed­ nesday evening at Elimville. Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd Ballantyne returned home Wednesday evening after spending three months in Florida. Mr. & Mrs. William Rohde visited Friday evening with Mr. & Mrs. Lome Passmore and on Sunday evening with Mr. & Mrs. Alvin Passmore. Mrs. Ina Johns, Mrs. Beth Batten, Miss Mary Ann Willis, Exeter Mr. & Mrs. Ken Kadey, Huron Park, Mr. & Mrs. John Batten and Ralph of Elimville were Sunday evening supper guests with Mr. & Mrs. David Passmore and boys. The occasion was the 29th wedding anniversary of Mr. & Mrs. John Batten and also Mrs. John Batten’s birthday April 3, Congratulations.
