Prize winners were: Ladies high, Mrs. Harold Guilfoyle; lone hands, Mrs. Bannister; low, Mrs. Don Newey; mens high, Fred Lewis; lone hands, Evan Hodgins;’low, Tom Yearley. Special prize was won by Jean Bice. Next party will be held April 6 with Mr. & Mrs. Jack Trevithick and Mr. & Mrs. Joe Carter as the conveners. Wl meets at Elimville By KATHY COOPER The Elimville Women’s Institute held their meeting at the hall Wednesday af­ ternoon. The president Mrs. Murray Coward opened thq safety meeting with a poem “The fellow to watch.” The meeting was turned over to the president. 4-H Homemaking Achievement Day will be May 12. The annual meeting will be April 11 at 8 o’clock. The meeting closed by everyone singing “My Wild Irish Rose” followed by a social time. The roll call was answered by “A safety rule you practice.” Mrs. Lome Johns and Mrs. George Conlan were in charge of the meeting. Mrs. Johns read an article “A Tail with a Twist.” Mrs. Conlan introduced the guest speaker Ontario Provincial Police Constable Bill Wilson. He showed a film “Dice in a Box” which featured seat belts. He also distributed many pamphlets and answered many questions. Mrs. Johns thanked him on behalf of the members. Mrs. Johns read an article “Dangers of No Pest Strips.” Several weeks ago the Elimville Women’s Institute held an euchre party at the hall. The winners were— ladies high, Kay Morley; mens high, Floyd Cooper; ladies low, Hazel Coward; mens low, Len McKnight; lone hands, Laverne Rodd; lucky nine of diamonds, Jerry McInnis; most zeros, Mrs. Swartz. Last Monday evening a card party was held with the following winners — mens high, Lawrence Beckett; ladies high, Mrs. Shute; mens lone hands, Philip Hern; ladies lone hands, Mrs. Switzer; mens low, Clarence Switzer; ladies low, Mrs. Park. The C.G.I.T. girls met Sunday night at Elimville church for their Easter meeting. Mr. & Mrs. Harvey Walper, Greenway, Mr. & Mrs. Don Newey and girls, Kingston, Miss Ruth Trevithick, Etobicoke and Mr. & Mrs. Neil Trevithick, Brantford were supper­ guests Saturday with Mr. & Mrs. Jack Trevithick. Jane Corbett, Toronto and Dianne Corbett, Lindsay spent the weekend with their parents Mr. & Mrs. Charles Corbett and David. Mrs. Merle Lewis visited with Mrs. Violet Allison and Kathleen Morley Friday afternoon. Mrs. Lois Whittard spent the week with her sister Mrs. Lloyd Odd and Mr. Odd, London.
