The next shot was triggered by Rick Ingram on a play originated by Al Taylor and Jim Ferguson while Centralia was a man short and Bill Chipchase hit the mark on passing help from Fred and Brian Campbell. Ron Funston notched his fourth of five goals at 11:35 of the third period on an un assisted effort. It proved to be the winner. Gary Koehler notched the final Hensall goal with six minutes left on passes from Rick Ingram and Wayne Corbett but their hopes end ed with six seconds left when Ron Funston scored into an empty net.
