WILLIAM ROHDE Quite a number of ladies in this community are tak­ ing a needlepoint course, The instructors are Mrs. Donald Bray and Mrs. Edwin Miller. Many from this communi­ ty called at the Hopper- Hockey Funeral Home last week and also attended the funeral of the late Ray Clark, Wednesday. The flowers in the church on Sun­ day were placed there by the family. Sympathy is extend­ ed to the family and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hargreaves were Friday evening supper guests with Mr. and Mrs. William Rohde. Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Dennis Rowe on the birth of their daughter, Wednesday. Mr. & Mrs. John McLauchlan, David and Karen, Lambeth were Sunday guests with Mr. & Mrs. Glenn Jeffery and family. Mrs. Mary Thomson, Exeter and Mrs. William Rohde visited Saturday afternoon with Mrs. Marguerite Gibson and Mr. &Mrs. Robert Ross, London. Mr. & Mrs. Alvin Passmore returned home Thursday after having been in Florida for almost two months. Mrs. Murray Dawson, Mrs. Michael Elford, Mr. & Mrs. Ross Hargreaves, Mrs. Hazel Jeffery, Mrs. George Kellett, Mrs. William Rohde, Mrs. Lee Webber attended the World Day of Prayer Service at Elimville Friday. Mrs. Dawson and Mrs. Roh­ de assisted with the service. Greenway By MANUEL CURTS Mr. Ken Stewart, Pt. Franks, was the lay reader at the Anglican Church ser­ vice, Sunday, due to a few days hospitalization of the Rev. Aubrey Bell who suf­ fered a back injury. During the service, Heather Hodgins and Janet Eagleson, members of the Brownies of Grand Bend Pack No. 1 read articles about Lord and Lady Baden- Powell. Ann Bullock, R.N. - now of St. Joseph’s Hospital, Lon­ don, and Janet Bullock, Fanshawe College were weekend visitors with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bullock. Mr. and Mrs. Orville Truemner have been chore boy and dishwasher at the household of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Hayter during the past two weeks. The children’s parents have been holiday­ ing in Florida.
