(Bill) Reynolds one of our representatives will be at the Green Forest Motor Hotel in Grand Bend, Ontario on Friday, March 2nd, 1979 from 1 to 4 p.m. l HowardHartle, who has had considerable experience in the organization and operation of cub packs, and is chairman of the Grand Bend and Area Recreation Committee, said a recent survey done by his com mittee indicated a strong need for some type of supervised activity for children in the 7-12 year age group. There seemed to be little doubt at this meeting that a cub pack would fill that void. It was also learned that there I are possibly three organizations in the village prepared to sponsor a cub pack. This meeting basicly confirmed the need for Scouting in the greater Grand Bend community and identified the source of financial and other support. Many other details remain to be resolved; including locating leaders — both men and women. All interested members of the community and the commissioner of Scouting for the Huron district will be invited to attend a follow-up meeting at a time and place to be announced later. Can.
