Elwood Morden was in charge of the Sunday morning worship. Using the title for his sermon '‘The Disciples Request”, this is to be the first in a series on the Lord’s Prayer. • The text was taken from Luke 11“ 1-4 ‘‘Lord teach us to pray”. In answer to this request from His Disciples, Jesus gave them this Pearl of a Prayer. I know of no prayer more universally known than this one, said Rev. Morden. Jesus taught His Disciples how to pray, and what to pray for, in the Lord’s Prayer. We all have to go to God with this request sometime “Teach Pray”. Sunday School pupils receiving attendance awards were the following children: 4th pin, Pamela Waters; wreath, Steven Cook; 1st bar, Cathy Riddell and Becky Bryan; 3rd bar, Allison Brown. At St. Thomas Anglican Church Rev. Mary Mills conducted the' morning service Sunday. Taking her sermon from the Collect and Gospel for the fourth Sunday after Epiphany, Rev Mills said, Epiphany means the Glory of God. Jesus Lord of the Universe shows His Faith in the strength and power of God, by the calming of the storm. We must have Faith to accept the power of God. me to Saintsbury By MRS. The church service and vestry meeting was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Davis, Sunday. Rev. Mary Mills in charge. Reports were read, all com­ ments met and the same of­ ficers returned for this year. There were nine tables in play at the euchre party in the Community Centre on Monday night with Mr. & Mrs. Lawrence Hirtzel and Mr. & Mrs. Otto Darling in charge.
