The Jets dropped 134 and 7-3 decisions to the league leading Petrolia Squires and lost by a 104 score to the Durham Huskies. The Lucan-Ilderton Club is in Petrolia Friday night and will be back at the Ilderton arena Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. to take on the Stratford Perths. SH senior girls lead HP volleyball Barry Edgar scored four times to lead Petrolia’s 7-3 Sunday victory. Scoring in single fashion were Ron Wifeon, Doug Zonneville and Dale Wilson. The Jets scored twice on power plays in the first period. Bruce Reddick hit on passes from Jamie Robb and Ed Parkinson and Ian McTavish registered with assists going to Dave Revington and Bruce Reddick. In the last minute of the third period, Chuck Robbins counted for the L-I team on a play set up by Randy Kraul and Dave Revington. The South Huron girls scored four consecutive wins this week all in decisive fashion. In the first two games they blasted Seaforth by scores of 15-0 and 154 and then triumphed over Central Huron of Clinton by scores of 15-1 and 15-7. Goderich and Wingham are tied for second place with three wins and one loss each while Clinton is even at four and four and Seaforth winless in eight starts rests in the basement. In the first win over Seaforth Karen McAllister served for all 15 points and Jill Tuckey made several ex­ cellent spikes. Ann Dearing and Jill Tuckey turned in great efforts in the second victory. Against Clinton in the first game, Karen McAllister served for 10 points and Jill Tuckey and Bonnie Westlake were the best players. In the second contest, Lisa Stret­ ton served for seven points and good efforts were turned in by Karen McAllister, Ann Dearing and Jill Tuckey. The South Huron girls finished in a second place tie in a five team volleyball tournament Saturday in Strathroy. The locals won six times in 10 games. They swept past Central Elgin 15-11 and 15-12 and the Strathroy juniors 15- 11 and 15-5. Their other victories were 15-12 over the- Strathroy seniors and 15-8 against Lis towel.
