The primary class had a Christmas number, Their teachers are Mrs. Rick Parker and Mrs. David Passmore. A monologue by Donna Stewart. A number by the kin- dergarten class under the leadership of their teachers and assistant Miss Agnes Bray, Mrs. Lorne Ballantyne and Miss Janet Bray. Mr. Ross Hargreaves spoke a few words. Mrs. Pym told a story Mr. Santa's Cap. Misses Ruth Bray, Brenda Hodgert and Donna Stewartsangs A skit "Twas the night before Christmas" by the intermediate class of which Mrs. Larry Ballantyne and Mrs. Glen Lamport are the teachers. A sing song of Christmas music was played by Miss Agnes Bray and Mrs. Murray Dawson and Mrs. Floyd Stewart leading. The junior class did a number and the teachers are Mrs. Gerry Morgan and Mrs. Al Epp. A skit "The Sky's the limit" by the young peoples class and the teachers are Mrs. Dawson and Mrs. Floyd. Stewart, Santa Claus arrived and the gifts were handed out from a prettily decorated well laden tree. Church Service Mr. Ross Hargreaves lit the fourth candle in the advent wreath symbolizing the light of the world, The drama of the advent wreath was given by Robert Bray, Larry Dawson, Brenda Hodgert and Donna Stewart. Mr, Hargreaves con- tinued meditation, In this advent season for us to prepare our- selves for the second coming of Christ. Christmas Eve and Com- munion service will be held Saturday evening at Elimville at 8 p.m. Thursday evening, December 29 don't forget the New Year's party at Thames Road with pot luck supper at 7 p.m., games and music etc. after supper for Elimville and' Thames Road people. Thames Road will bring the first course and Elimville dessert. The treasurer's books will close December 31, Personals The executive of the United Church Women met at the home of Mrs. Mac Hodgert Tuesday evening to plan the programs for 1978. Mr. & Mrs. John Pym, Pauline, Dennis and Steven had their Christmas with Mr. & Mrs. Allan Wanner, Sarnia. Mr. & Mrs. Howard Cunning ton and family attended the Miller Christmas at the Crediton hall, Sunday. Mr. & Mrs. Ross Hargreaves visited on Sunday and part of Monday with Mr. & Mrs. Lorne Hansford of Crumlin. Congratulations to Miss Barbara Miller who received the Susan Brown Memorial Award for Food Science at the Ontario Agricultural College Ceremony held recently at the University of Guelph. Barbara arrived home Monday evening for the holiday season.
