MORE THAN ONE REASON - The snow and demolition crews joined to make the Huron St. entrance to
South Huron Hospital impassable this week. Most of the former Carling home has fallen to wreckers'
hammers and will be replaced by a new addition in the spring. These photos show that a thing of beauty
can soon be transformed into a desolate scene. Photos by Scott Batten

Rev. Morden's sermon was a
dram"atization of Henry Van

Wiseman". This was the story of
a member of the "Magi" who was
to have joined the three wisemen
on the journey to Bethlehem to
see the New King, but was
delayed because he stopped to
care for a sick man he found lying
by the roadside. When this wise
man finally reached his
destination, Joseph and Mary
had fled taking the infant Jesus
with them.
It was announced that
December 18 was White Gift

Santa Is Coming
To the Fireha II
Wednesday evening December
21 all children of the community
are invited to a Christmas party
and sleighride sponsored by the
Granton volunteer firemen at the
firehall.
Santa will be there, Very young
children must be accompanied by
an adult.
Sorry I have no personals this
week. Nobody was visiting unless
it was their neighbors, but we are
all gradually digging ourselves
out. Snow is very lovely and
makes everywhere a fairyland, if
there is not too much of it.
