The principal character was a
cow, the head was made of paper
mache, and two people under a
white sheet with black patches
painted on it, represented the
body of a Holstein cow, complete
with udder made from an inflated
rubber glove with the fingers for
teats.

Church News
Rev. Elwood Morden con-
ducted worship for the second
Sunday in Advent at the United
Church. Preceding the service
the congregation took part in a
carol sing,..led by the junior and
senior choirs.
A unique ceremony took place
when the, Sunday School pupils
assisted by their teachers hung
Christian symbols that they had
made of white styrofoam and
gold tinsel on the Christmas tree
at the front of the church.
The lighting of the second
candle in the Advent wreath was
performed by Leroy Bryan,
chairman of the board of
stewards.
Rev. Morden's sermon was on
the "Magnificat" which said the
minister, is the most
revolutionary document in the
world, and in his opinion the first
Christian hymn, as the definition
of a hymn, is a poem sung in
Praise of God.
At St. Thomas Anglican Church
Rev. Mary Mills was in charge of
the service for the second Sunday
in Advent and continuing with her
series on "People of the Bible"
based her sermon on the life of
Moses.
She described the many ways
which God helped Moses while he
was leading the children of Israel
out of Egypt, and it shows us how
we must learn to trust God in His
spiritual leadership, said Rev.
Mills. Sunday school pupil Jamie
Hoar lit the second candle in the
Advent wreath,
