"We ought to realize the seriousness of our situation enough not to be content to listen only to the things we want to hear, and apply band-aid ap- plications only; but to be con- cerned enough to apply complete healing, which is possible only through hope in God. Sin is rebellion against God, There are sins of contemplation, sins of omission, sins of per- mission and sins of situation, the consequences of which none of us can escape. The mighty word of God, "I will satisfy" still stands as it did in Jeremiah's day. Jeremiah faced the future with hope. The last word was not written by Babylon.
