he didn't have to stop one shot.
Brett Batten put Exeter on the
board in the first period with
what proved to be the winner.
Scott Lovie drew the assist.
In the second, Trevor Johnston
and Steve Gould fired single
tallies and Scott Bogart Tapped
the scoring in the third. Drawing
assists on the final three goals
were Sean Whiteford, Scott
Bogart and George Pratt.
The locals travelled to
Strathroy on Saturday to take on
the league leading squad and
came home with a 1-1 draw after
an exciting contest that moved
from end to end with some fine
passing plays.
Earlier in the season, Strathroy
had whipped the locals 4-0.
Exeter jumped into a 1-0 lead in
the first period when Brett Batten
picked up the puck, behind the
Strathroy net. His centering pass
went all the way to the blueline,
where Trevor Johnston fired it
back towards the net and Scott
Lovie managed to deflect it into
the corner.
Strathroy picked up the
equalizer near the mid-way mark
of the third period when Ron
Tadgell got behind the defence to
deflect a shot past Rick Gilfillan,
who played a stellar game in the
nets. 4111•11111.11111111M11111111111111116.
