The service was conducted by the Ailsa Craig Ministerial. Association and the brief Message delivered by Peter Snell of the United Church. A parade was held before the cenotaph with the Last Pest and Reveille sounded by W. Teller. Wreaths were placed at the cenotaph by Jack Riddell, M.M.P. on behalf of the Province of Ontario, Don Shipway for the MA1NWAY MIDNIGHT MADNESS FRIDAY 9 P.M. — MIDNIGHT in friendly Downtown Exeter Mist Craig legion, Jael more for the town of Ailsa Craig, Gerald Wright for McGillivray township, Aubrey McCallum for East Williams township, Mrs, Myrtle Dixon for the Ailsa Craig ladies auxiliary, John Vail for the Ailsa Craig Lions Club and Miss Babe Chapman for the Victory The Ailsa Craig volunteer fire brigade will sponsor the town's Santa Claus parade again this year which is being planned for Saturday afternoon, December I.Q. It is hoped to make this year's parade interesting and enjoyable for old and young alike. Anyone who would like to join the parade may contact fire chief Jack Brans ton before the date of the parade, Floats and in- dividuals are needed to provide a good parade, and all are en- couraged to plan now and put together our best parade yet, Prizes will be awarded to the floats judged the most in- teresting. )3oosters. The girls of the Explorers organization placed their poppies along side of the wreaths, Following the service all were invited to return to the legion hall for coffee, hot chocolate and donuts by the ladies auxiliary of the legion. " The parade will commence at 2 p.m, and follow the customary route through town and along Main Street concluding with Santa himself stopping at the fire hall to distribute goodies to the children, December 1 a turkey bingo will be held at the town hall by the volunteer firemen to help raise funds to help cover expenses incurred by the parade. Persona Is Mr. & Mrs. W.C. Insley, Nairn Centre visited for a few days with the former's brother Mr. & Mrs. Ted Insley. The sympathy of the com- munity is extended, to La Verne Rodd and family, in the passing of a loving wife and mother, following a lengthy illness. Miss Rhea Mills accompanied Mr. & Mrs. Jay Mills, Calgary and Mrs. Ray Mills, St, Marys to Parkhill Friday where they visited with Mr. & Mrs, Harold Thompson. Mr, & Mrs. Dave Davis, Alison and Brandon, St. Marys visited Sunday with Miss Jean Copeland. Mr, & Mrs. Clarence Thomson, Scott and Steven and Miss Jean Copeland were Sunday dinner guests with Mr. & Mrs. Glenn Copeland, Cynthia, Ellen and Deanna.
