Students from Zurich Public
School conducted a highly suc-
cessful campaign for UNICEF on
Hallowe'en, Final tabulations

Thames Road ladies elect
A tri-school drama festival held
last week was 'highly successful'
according to Pat Quigley, head of
the drama department at South
Huron PistTict High School.
The festival involved nigh
schools from Bradford, Goderich
and SHDHS with each school
presenting a play on successive
nights, in each municipality.
Large crowds were at all
locations with Goderich having
the best turnout.
'It was a very worthwhile
learning experience as the
students were billeted with the
students of the hosting town,'
Quigley said.
'The students want to have
another such festival as soon as
possible,' Quigley added. Available at:

The November U.C.W. meeting
was held at Mrs. Jack
Trevithick's Wednesday. Mrs
Trevithick had a short devotional
followed by Mrs. John Dyck
having the meditation and
prayer.
Viola Lewis read a poem
"Crowded Out". Mrs. Trevithick
gave a reading "0 What a Lovely
Peace", Closing hymn "Won-
derful words of Life". Mrs. Jack
Hodgson took charge of the
business.
Roll call was answered by 9
members, It was decided to pay
$20 to the Crippled Children's
Treatment centre. Group two

Baby Band Party
Mrs. Glen Lamport welcomed
the 20 children and mothers to the
Baby Band party Saturday
afternoon, Mrs. Lamport read a
poem "God Created Love". Ruth
Bray played the hymn Jesus
Loves Me.
Mrs. Lorne Ballantyne read the
Scripture, gave the roll call, and
offering with prayer by Mrs.
Lamport.
Mrs. Ballantyne was in charge
of the graduation ceremony,
Those graduating were Gregory
Lamport, Shelly Miller, Danny
Rohde and Jeff Rowe, They were
presented with a gift and a
certificate and welcomed into
Messengers by Mrs. Wayne
Rowe,
A film using jungle animals to
tell the story completed the
meeting.
A social time followed during
which happy birthday was sung
to Alicia Mellenger who was
celebrating her third birthday.

The November meeting of the
United Church Women was held
Monday evening with 120 present.
Ladies from Kirkton, Elimville
and Exeter United Church were
the guests ushered to their seats
by Mrs. Mac Hodgert and Mrs.
Lee Webber.
Mrs. Reg Hodgert played
several piano selections before
the program. Mrs. Ken Duncan,
program convener welcomed the
ladies and all repeated United
Church Women purpose.
Mrs, Mac Hodgert assisted
with the devotions and Mrs. Lee
Webber gave a prayer for an
ordinary day. Mrs. Ken Duncan
read "One Day at a Time" and
Mrs. Mac Hodgert read "Count
That Day Lost". "Why There are
Poppies" was read by Mrs.
Webber,
Accordion selections were
played by Mrs, Calvin Christie
which were much enjoyed.
Reading "Country Towns" was
read by Mrs. Donald Bray,
A stewardship paper prepared
by Mrs. Hargreaves was read by
Mrs. Duncan,
Mrs, Hargreaves introduced
the guest speaker Mrs. John
King,Woodstock. Mrs. King
attended General Council as a
Commissioner from Oxford
Presbyterial at the Calgary
University this summer. She
gave a very inspiring talk and
was thanked and presented with
a gift by Mrs. Glen Stewart. A
sing-song was enjoyed with Miss
Agnes Bray at the piano and Mrs.
Reg Hodgert leading.
The usual business was
presented by the president Mrs.
Stewart, the secretary Mrs, Mac
Hodgert and the treasurer Mrs.
