Minister begins
series on James
At the service in Lucan
United Church last Sunday, Rev,
Keith Brown commenced a series
on the book of James, He told the
congregation that James cuts
across all sham and hypocrisy,
and teaches that true Christianity
reaches into every aspect of life.
He said that most Christians
are shocked that temptations and
trials still come their way when
they have given their lives to
Christ, and as we study James we
will understand how to overcome
temptations.
What if we fail the test? Then
we can come to God in prayer,
say we are sorry and will try to do
better. We are given another
chance to prove ourselves, and as
Christians we know that our lives
are safe in His hands.
The choir, under the direction
of Helen Brown, and with Mrs.
Emerson Degraw taking the solo
parts, sang "Balm of Gilead",
Rev. & Mrs. Brown and the
