The Board authorized the study in August but no consultant has yet been named to carry it out. The board also accepted three recommendations from its Ad Hoc Transportation Committee, The first granted a request of bus operators that the basic daily rate for cars used in pupil transportation during the current school year be $14,50 plus 26c per mile, The second recommendation requested that township cogneil be asked to cooperate in erecting and maintaining concession and side road signs as well as stop and yield signs for the benefit of ether)! buses. Trustees were told that this is especially needed when substitute drivers are called to take buses along county routes, The third recommendation calls for placing six new buses in the board's 1978 capital forecast, These would be added to the eight buses now being operated by the beard.
