The two South Huron District
High School football teams kept
their undefeated records intact
Thursday as they swept a
doubleheader against Listowel.
The South Huron seniors
chalked up their second straight
victory with a 25-0 romp while the
juniors won by a score of 6-1 to up
their season victory total to three
games.
This week, both clubs are
expected to face stronger op-
position as Stratford Nor-
thwestern will be in Exeter for
two games. The senior game
begins at 1.30 p.m. with the junior
contest slated to get underway at
3 p.m.
Long run early
The only touchdown in the
junior game early in the first
quarter as Panther backfielder
Larry Dawson broke loose on a
100 yard gallop off tackle to chalk
up a six pointer.
Dawson was the top ball
carrier for his club, gaining 140
yards in nine carries. Rick
Lindenfield was next with 62
yards on 11 attempts.
The only 'successful South
Huron passing play was from
quarterback Doug Brooks to
Steve Pearce good for eight
yards.
The complete South Huron
yardage gained totalled 245 yards
while the defence held Listowel to
178 yards. Listowel did pick up
the most first downs 11 to seven.
Coach Doug Ellison said his
team turned in a "poor game
offensively" but listed three
members of the team as being
very strong defensively:

The Exeter senior citizens met
Tuesday for their monthly
session at the Legion Hall with
over 90 members present. They

formers.
A group of senior citizens from
Dashwood and Grand Bend en-
tertained in their usual jovial
way. They included Mr. and Mrs.
Ross Love, Mr, and Mrs. Willis
Gill, Mr, and Mrs, Wellwood Gill
and Mr. and Mrs, Doug Gill. Mrs.
R. Love acted as chairperson.

improved effort."
Bogart continued, "the score
could have been doubled if we
had not made so many errors.
Our defence played well showing
much improvement in the
secondary. The offence appears'
to be gaining more confidence."
The senior scoring was well
spread with at least three points
on the board for the Panthers in
each quarter,
Brad Cann led the Panther
scoring attack with three touch-
downs. He chalked up the first six
points in the first quarter on a 10
yard run and scored again in the
second period on a similar gallop,
this time good for nine yards.
