ROBERT ENNS Katherine May MacGregor and Robert Enns exchanged marriage vows at the home of the bride's parents Friday evening September 9, 1977. Rev. Harold Snell officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald R. MacGregor, Exeter, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Enns; Steinbach, Manitoba are the parents of the groom. The maid of honour was Margerite Calaguiro, Niagara Falls, and the best man was Clarence Enns, Steinbach, Manitoba, Guests were ushered by Jim MacGregor, Exeter, Miss Elaine Powe, Centralia, was the organist and soloist. RICHARD MUNN Mary Van Bommell and Richard Munn exchanged marriage vows August 26 at Holy Rosary Church, London. Father White officiated. Mr. and Mrs. John Van Bommell. Nova Scotia are parents of the bride and the groom is the son of Mrs. Dolores Durham, London. Anita Van Bommell was the maid of honour and bridesmaids were Ann MacDonald and Mary Chisholm. Evelyn Blackwell was flower girl. The best man was Dennis Munn and ushers were Kevin Munn and John Van Bommell. The ring bearer was Robert Peckham. The couple will be residing in London. Photo by Brian Richman Winners in flowers, crafts Four ladies provided most of the competition in the flower section of the Exeter Fall Fair. Josie Ryckman picked up eight first prizes and three second place ribbons to top the competi- tion. Tied for second place with 26 points apiece were Mrs. Keith MacLaren and Mrs. Case Zeehuisen. Fourth was Ila Love with 22 points. In the showing of apples Vic Jeffrey cleaned up with 18 first prizes. Mrs. Harold Cudmore was the winner in pears and the top plum exhibitor was Leslie Cudmore. The commercial vegetable feature was won by Shipka area gardener John Kingma with Shirley Cooper, a close runnerup. Mrs. Tom Hem, Woodham won the most first prizes in the regular vegetable competition with eight in two varieties of potatoes, carrots, melons, pumpkins, two kinds of squash and cabbage. Mrs. Neil McAllister, RR 1, Centralia was the winner lin senior arts and crafts while Carolyn Perry, Exeter was the best in the junior competition. In paintings, John Bierling, Centralia edged Carolyn Perry and in photography Terry Schwartzentruber was the overall winner with John Dobbs and Mrs. Sheila Miller close behind. A former president of the school division of the Fair Dolores Shapton was named Baking Queen while her daughter Janet was the junior baking champion. The senior baking runnerup was Nancy Wright of Hensall while the second place finisher in the junior competition was Patti Down, daughter of the current ladies division president, Pat Down. The senior sewing Queen was Mrs. Keith Selves with Mrs. Marianne MacMillan finishing second. Mary Lou Thomson was named junior sewing Princess with Elizabeth Datars in second place. In the home department classes 44, 45 and 46 Mrs. Selves accumulated 22 points, seven more than Mrs, MacMillan, Mrs. Ray Cockwill was third with an even dozen points. The junior baking competition was close with the two top con- testants each winning three red ribbons. Janet Shapton gained the title on the strength of five second prizes while Patti Down scored three seconds and one third. MR. AND MRS. RICHARD WESTCOTT Exeter United Church was the setting for the September 17 wedding of Patricia Lee and Richard Westcott. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Jean Lee, Exeter and the groom's parents are Hazel and Allan West- cott, Centralia. Rev. Glen Wright officiated. The maid of honour was Debbie Lindenfield and bridesmaids were Laurie Richards and Lisa Westcott. The best man was Jim Coates and guests were ushed by Bob Daly and Bill Snell. Mcrk Giles, nephew of the groom, was the ring bearer. After a wedding trip to Hawaii the couple will take up residence at Sarnia.
